In the summer of 2024, the Korey family lost their daughter, Elana 20, to an impaired driver on the highway just outside Stowe, Vermont. After the crash, they started Ollie's Angels, a nonprofit that educates young people about the impacts and dangers for impaired and reckless driving,
ESPN Senior Writer & Reporter Heather Dinich helped amplify a local message by sharing the story of Elana Korey, a DHS graduate who was killed by a drunk driver in 2024. Dinich supported the Ollieβs Angels Foundationβs campaign, βCatch a Safe Ride.β
